Launch Schools is a small network of schools including a middle school and a new high school focused on tackling the two greatest challenges of our time– climate change and equity. The Launch High School will welcome its first 9th grade class in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, NY in Fall 2025. Launch High School builds on the work of Launch’s middle school, an EL Education school that has operated in Weeksville, Brooklyn for 12 years. Role Overview:
The Recruitment and Enrollment Manager is the lead and strategist for the strategic enrollment management plan and the attainment of enrollment goals. S/he manages admissions, school enrollment, online enrollment, recruitment marketing, student engagement/retention efforts and targeted student services across Launch Middle School and Launch High School (opening Fall 2025) with support from the Chief Operating Officer and the school operations teams. This role provides strategic and operational guidance for both the vision and results of integrated recruitment, retention, and recruitment marketing initiatives in connection with the school’s mission and strategic plan; advises enrollment policy; helps lead the schools toward innovative enrollment partnerships; and serves as a member of the growing Launch Schools Network Team.
Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic and operational guidance for all student enrollment aspects
- Creates processes and enrollment metrics that align with the goals of the organization
- Monitors the reporting of student enrollment metrics, outcomes statistics and student survey and supports efforts to address student satisfaction
- Works with COO to assess, set and monitor enrollment budget targets each fiscal year
- Collaborates with any designated staff or consultants to establish and monitor new student enrollment goals and the development of proactive, and personalized recruitment strategies
- Develops enrollment management best practices, including but not limited to student recruitment events, recruitment marketing and communication flow, financial leveraging, outreach campaigns, and student retention strategies
- Works closely with the Advancement Manager to continually hone and implement effective recruitment marketing and brand awareness strategies and to continually develop and enhance the web as a recruitment tool
- Manages workflow, message automation and data on application and enrollment platforms including Schoolmint and Alma and ATS
- Builds, trains, and executes the work plan for a team of outreach staff and Student and Parent Enrollment Ambassadors who will participate in a range of activities including door to door canvassing, phone call campaigns, staffing community events, hosting information tables at public venues, and home visits to prospective families.
- Builds relationships with parents, teachers, school and community leaders. This includes spending meaningful time at the middle and high school. initiating and sustaining a robust and regular schedule of one on one or group meetings, home visits, and phone calls throughout the year.
- Develops relationships with elementary and middle school partners in the community with an eye to recruiting families, promoting our brand, and creating programmatic partnerships with schools that benefit students and the community
- Plan and support enrollment including phone, online and in-person support and document submission and organization
- Participate in night and weekend meetings and events as needed
- Supports additional middle and high school initiatives and projects if there is capacity as we are a growing network with a very small team.

- Own all recruitment communications (website, family communications, mailchimp, etc)
